Trump's Fuming! Calls Netanyahu a 'Madman, Ungrateful', Then Turns to Iran: Deal in a Week
'If it weren't for me, you'd be in jail right now!' — Trump blew up again, this time directed at Israeli PM Netanyahu.
According to US media reports, during a call on June 1, Trump directly let loose on Netanyahu, calling him 'crazy' and shouted, 'What the hell are you doing?' The reason is that Israel has recently gone all out in Lebanon, even leveling entire buildings just to take out a Hezbollah commander. Trump was furious, warning that bombing Beirut would only further isolate Israel internationally, saying, 'Now everyone hates you, hates Israel.'
The harshest line was, 'I've been saving you, keeping you out of jail. You're so ungrateful!' Netanyahu was put in his place and kept saying, 'Alright, alright, just make sure everything is fine.' US media called this one of the 'worst calls' between the two since Trump took office.
So why is Trump so rushed? Because his other major play is on the verge of being derailed — negotiations with Iran.
On the same day, Trump confidently told ABC News, 'In the next week' he could strike a deal with Iran to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He mentioned a 'little hiccup' today — Iran was not happy about Israel's attack on Lebanon — but he jumped right in, saying, 'I called both Netanyahu and Hezbollah, and told them to ceasefire.' He smugly added, 'I managed to turn the situation around quickly.'
On one hand, calling his ally a 'madman', and on the other, negotiating with his 'enemy'. What score would you give Trump's moves
